Burberry Beauty has been in the company of some seriously fabulous Brits over the years (Cara Delevingne, Jourdan Dunn, and Edie Campbell, to name a few) and now they’re adding one more to their campaign canon. Burberry is announcing today that 16-year-old model Iris Law, fresh off a Miu Miu campaign and Teen Vogue cover, is the face of their Liquid Lip Velvet Collection—a new line of luxe, creamy matte liquid lipsticks that previewed on Sephora.com last week, and goes on sale on Burberry.com today.
And how’s this for a pedigree? Iris Law is the daughter of fashion designer Sadie Frost and actor Jude Law—and, oh yeah—goddaughter of fashion goddess Kate Moss. No big deal. The family ties definitely paid off: Law has her dad’s blue eyes and her mom’s killer jawline. In fact, since she recently chopped her long hair into the same bob that her mother had at her age, she looks more like Frost than ever.
Iris shared comments abount having found out that the new gig came with a learning curve. Law admits that she didn’t wear a lot of lipstick before this, but she’s catching up: “I loved the different colors [makeup artist] Wendy Rowe created for me with Liquid Lip Velvet. Now I wear red lipstick when I go out…I suit red lips.” Rowe also taught her how to contour her face using a Burberry contour pen—which Law says she quickly photographed with her phone so that she could do it on her own at home.
“Burberry is such an iconic British brand and it’s an honor to be part of the family,” says Law, and she’s reaping a few of the benefits. “I had such fun trying on the different outfits. I’ve kept the khaki green bomber jacket and I love it.” It’s good to be family.
