Justin Timberlake seems like he’s trying to help Scarlett Johansson get over Sean Penn. But is he dating the blonde bombshell?
JT has previously dated hotties like Cameron Diaz (his Bad Teacher costar) and Jessica Biel, while Scarlett split from her hubby Ryan Reynolds earlier this year before shocking everyone by getting cozy with Sean Penn. Justin has obviously shown a little interest in Scarlett in the past — she previously sexed up his music video for “What Goes Around…Comes Around.”
Now the duo has been spotted sharing drinks together in NYC, which could be seen as a friendly outing — after all, plenty of male and female celebrities seem to be friends these days (Olivia Wilde, who was temporarily linked to Justin, seems to be friends with every male celebrity in Hollywood). However, Scarlett Johansson and Justin Timberlake didn’t stop with drinks — they went back to his loft apartment. The next day Scarlett was spotted wearing the same clothes she’d had on the night before (a scarlet letter!).
So are the two dating? Well, hooking up like they did probably is a sign that their tryst was nothing more than a one night stand — there have been no previous reports that the two were having dinner together or enjoying romantic strolls and boat rides like Blake Lively and Leonardo DiCaprio (whose hookup would have seemed like a surefire one night stand if it wasn’t for the romancing). It sounds like Justin Timberlake and Scarlett Johansson simply met up for a wild night together, and he was ready for her to leave in the morning.
It’s not all that surprising since Scarlett Johansson hasn’t been shy about admitting that she’s not a fan of monogamy (so her marriage was doomed from the start). And of course Justin Timberlake is simply male.
So did Justin or Scarlett instigate this hookup? Scarlett Johansson seems like the type of gal who likes to be in control, so she might have just looked up the firt single male acquaintance she could find for a rebound, and can anyone blame Justin Timberlake for not turning such a proposition down?
