There are a lot of strong feelings brewing among Kings of Leon fans these days. On one hand, there is undoubtedly a lot of anger over the cancellation of their entire U.S. tour. But coupled with that are feelings of concern, particularly for lead singer Caleb Followill, who may be battling an alcohol addiction.
The band’s spokespeople have listed Caleb’s “vocal exhaustion” as the official cause of the scrapped tour. But according to Us Weekly, the real reason is soFollowill can seek out a treatment program.
“They are trying to get Caleb to go to rehab. It is mostly for alcohol,”an unnamed source said. “[That’s why] they ended up canceling the whole tour… he drinks like a fish.”
Caleb seemed to be acting extremely odd during the group’s last performance on July 29. Storming offstage and saying he was “going to vomit,” Followillshocked his fans and his fellow band mates with his erratic behavior.
Now with 28 more dates getting cancelled, many are thinking the Leon guys have had the last straw. Let’s hope, if the stories are true, Caleb gets the help he needs so he can keep the Kings together.
