Lance Bass is going to be a dad.
The 42-year-old singer is expecting twins, a son and daughter, with his husband, Michael Turchin, via surrogate.
Bass’ rep confirmed the news Tuesday to E! News, saying Bass and Turchin are “very excited on becoming a family of four!”
Bass and Turchin said in an interview with People that their road to fatherhood has been “quite the journey,” with multiple surrogacy attempts, failed IVF treatments and a miscarriage.
“Because of what we’ve been through the last four years, we were very cautious to get excited,” Bass said. “We told our friends and family about the ninth week, when we finally felt comfortable.”
Bass and Turchin said their unborn son and daughter are due in early November. Bass shared a Halloween-inspired announcement on TikTok.
Bass and Turchin said they are most looking forward to their son and daughter’s bond as siblings.
“I like my sister, we were best friends and that was the cool part growing up — I always had a best friend with me all the time,” Turchin said. “That connection is super rare to have with a sibling when you’re that close. It’s just a really special relationship and I’m excited to see that play out with our kids.”
Bass came to fame with the boy band ‘N Sync.
