Latin Grammy 2014 Nominees Announced

Today The Latin Recording Academy announced the nominees for the 15th Annual Latin Grammy Awards. Showing  Nov. 20 on Telemundo from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. It will take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Though only announced this morning, favorites have already been called in with Eduardo Cabra  & Calle 13 leading with 10 nominations, and Carols Santana, who released his first-ever all-Spanish album this year.

Calle 13 will compete for album, song and record of the year. Enrique Iglesias’ “Bailando,” a hit on Top 40 radio, is nominated for song and record of the year.

Music made between July 1, 2013 and June 30, 2014 can be nominated. Members of the academy will vote before Oct. 22, where an accounting firm will then count up the results. The nominees are broken up into different sections, such as general, rock, tropical and Brazilian fields.
