Lindsay Lohan comeback that actually sticks? Two weeks after she left court-ordered rehab after a 90-day stay, her efforts to rebrand herself from a recidivist, unprofessional wreck into a trustworthy thespian stamped with Oprah’s seal of approval continue to chug along.
Aiding that effort is a newly launched website, LindsayLohan.com, which features all things LiLo, from video clips to Instagram pics to Pinterest-style fashion galleries deconstructing her ensembles.
“To my fans, welcome to my new site,” Linds wrote in her front-page greeting on Thursday. “Your support has been everything. I’m so excited for what’s next. Xo All my love, Lindsay.”
What’s next for Lohan includes her interview with Oprah, which is set to air on Aug. 18, along with her upcoming reality show for the media titan.
She also shot a guest-starring role this week on “Eastbound & Down,” and suspiciously obliging sources on the North Carolina set of the HBO comedy tell TMZ that she nailed her performance. Word is, Lindsay arrived on time, knew her lines and was “actually funny.” (So, in short, she did what she was hired to do.)
Once shooting wrapped, the seemingly impressed cast and crew gave Lindsay a standing ovation, with co-creator Jody Hill offering her a hug and a thank you for coming on the show.
Of course, Lohan managed the same on the first day of her pre-rehab stint on Charlie Sheen’s “Anger Management,” only to turn up late and unprepared on the second day. She reportedly wrapped up the gig by making off with some jewelry from the wardrobe department.
The difference this time is she has a sober coach to help keep her on the straight and narrow.
“I believe that she believes that she is now ready,” Oprah recently hedged to “Good Morning America.” “And she admitted that there were other times when she was pretending to be ready and not quite sure. … I think this is the first time I could see [rehab] really benefited her.”
