Mexican singer Luis Miguel has been reportedly arrested in Los Angeles.
The 47-year-old star was arrested Tuesday after repeatedly failing to appear at court hearings over a breach of contract lawsuit. Miguel’s former manager, William Brockhaus, filed a lawsuit against the performer for unpaid fees based on a management contract they signed in 2012. In July 2016, the singer was ordered to pay his former manager more than $1 million by a federal judge in New York. The manager’s attorneys also sought to enforce the judgment in Los Angeles, where the Mexican superstar owns a house.
The five-time Grammy winner, who doesn’t have an attorney listed in the court case, is scheduled to appear before a judge Tuesday afternoon.
