Madonna fans in the twitterverse got quite a treat this week. It seems her longtime manager Guy Oseary used to social network to announce Madge’s upcoming recording plans. According to his post, she will begin working on a new album later this summer.
“Madonna goes into the recording studio next month to begin work on new album,” Oseary posted. “She has a good idea of which producers she will be working with.”
Sure it’s not a lot of information, but those little tidbits created a firestorm all over the internet. It’s been three long years since Madonna’s Hard Candy album was released and fans have been desperate to hear what musical styles she’ll embrace next.
Could she be planning some hot dance tracks with RedOne? Or perhaps dabbling in reggaeton with Pitbull? Hey, if it worked for J. Lo, why not theMaterial Girl? If it were up to us, we’d love to hear her half-Cuban daughterLourdes step up to the mic for a duet.
Keep in mind though, that Madonna is only planning to “record” this summer. That doesn’t necessarily mean the album will be released anytime soon. But, for all of you still in need of a Madge fix, don’t fret. She just wrapped a starring role in the dramatic film W.E., which is scheduled to come out later this year.
