Manny Pacquiao Makes Entrance Song For Mayweather Fight

Manny Pacquiao recorded a song for his entrance into the Floyd Mayweather fight in May, this is just about a month after he swore off making music for a reason he shared during a recent interview. Pacquiao wasn’t going to record any more songs because “I love music…but I don’t think music loves me,” according to TMZ on Feb. 27.

The name of the track that Pacquiao recorded is “Lalaban Ako Para sa Pilipino” and translated it means “I am going to fight for Filipinos,” reports The Guardian. Apparently Pacquiao has changed his mind about singing because Pacquiao now has an entrance song for when he walks into the Vegas arena. He will be facing Floyd Mayweather in a fight that has fight fanatics chopping at the bit to see and now hear!

A song to escort him into the ring is now ready to go and from what the translators say some of the lyrics say, “We are going to fight / I am going to fight to the world / Fight for your name / I am Filipino / We are Filipino”.

Apparently the song has a broader message than just boxing. It is about overcoming daily life challenges and being an inspiration to others. This isn’t Manny’s first attempt at providing music to the masses.

He actually “cracked the U.S. charts in the adult-contemporary category with a song he sang in the English language “Sometimes When We Touch.” This is a ballad originally done by Dan Hill back in 1977. He also recorded an album in his country in 2006 and another in 2007.

The welterweight is scheduled to open his training camp when he flies into L.A. Saturday. This boxer is a man of many talents, he is a ring favorite, a top politician in his country and a song artist. Is there no end to the talents that Pacquiao possesses?
