Los Angeles, CA (March 20, 2017). – Mariana Vega had a successful first turn at Austin’s SXSW Festival, where she performed in front of large crowds during her showcases on March 15, 16 and 17.
Vega, who was named a “Must-See” Latin Act at SXSW by Billboard, electrified crowds while performing a combination of hit songs as well as introducing her newest track, “La Marea” during her original two showcase appearances. The Latin GRAMMY-winning singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, also joined Los Amigos Invisibles on stage for a special rendition of their latest release, “Espérame” during a surprise third performance at their headlining showcase.
Before heading home, Vega made one last appearance on stage with her Venezuelan compatriot Vargas with whom she sang his song “Honesto” at the Sounds of Venezuela showcase.
Mariana was overwhelmed by the positive response she received from the crowd and members of the media during the festival. She had some time to do some interviews to talk about the March 22 release of her new music video “La Marea” on VEVO, upcoming projects, as well as her experience at the popular festival.
Not only does Mariana Vega look forward to future opportunities to participate at SXSW, but she also continues to be a powerful voice in the global representation of Latin music.
