Well, that didn’t take long, did it?

The motorcade left the White House around 8:46 p.m. Tuesday for the six-minute ride up the block to the U.S. Capitol for the president’s final State of the Union address. About 10 minutes later, it was places, everyone! And that’s when the Twitterverse got its first glimpse of first lady Michelle Obama in what we know now was a “marigold” (not mustard, tangerine or coral) sleeveless Narciso Rodriguez dress.

Social-media sleuths immediately searched for the sheath that launched a thousand (we’re guessing) Tweets.

By 9:41 p.m., Washington journo Kate Bennett, former fashion editor at Washingtonian magazine and current White House correspondent for the Independent Journal, found it on sale at Neiman Marcus.
