Miguel Bosé Scholarship To Be Presented By The Latin Grammy Cultural Foundation

A Latin Music Student With Financial Hardship Will Receive a Four-Year Scholarship, Worth up to $200,000, Toward A Bachelor’s Degree at Berklee College of Music in Boston

MIAMI, FL (Dec. 15, 2016) – The Latin GRAMMY Cultural Foundation® announced today that it is accepting applications for the Miguel Bosé Scholarship from students admitted to Berklee College of Music to attend the fall 2017 semester. The Miguel Bosé Scholarship presented by the Latin GRAMMY Cultural Foundation will be awarded to one student pursuing a career in music, with particular interest in Latin music. The four-year scholarship, which holds a maximum value of $200,000 will be awarded to study toward a bachelor’s degree at Berklee. The Scholarship Committee of the Latin GRAMMY Cultural Foundation, comprised of music professionals from all walks of the music industry, will evaluate the applicants and select a beneficiary.

In an effort to further music education within the Latin genres, the Miguel Bosé Scholarship presented by the Latin GRAMMY Cultural Foundation will be awarded to a student who not only possess a musical gift but is facing financial hardship. Latin GRAMMY® winner Miguel Bosé will assist in financing the scholarship that bears his name as well as announce and present the scholarship to one fortunate Berklee student.

“We are proud to be able to continue providing the next generation of music makers with a once in a lifetime opportunity to further their music education at the prestigious institution Berklee College of Music,” said Manolo Diaz, Vice President of the Latin GRAMMY Cultural Foundation. “Miguel Bosé is synonymous with exquisite and chameleon artistry, and his work has influenced and inspired all aspects of the arts for decades. His generosity will help provide a musical high note to one gifted student.”

The deadline to apply is April 10, 2017, at 11:59 p.m. EST. Students from the following 24 countries, who have been admitted to Berklee’s 2017 fall semester, are encouraged to apply: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Spain, United States, Uruguay, and Venezuela.
