It’s been a full year since Miranda Lambert and fellow country music singer Blake Shelton announced that they had separated after nearly a decade together, and while he’s moved on with new sweetheart Gwen Stefani, it looks like Miranda might still have some unresolved issues.
Taking the stage at the Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre in Tinley Park, Illinois, on Friday, the 32-year-old crooner burst into tears performing her 2012 single “Over You,” which she co-wrote with Blake Shelton back when they were still together and in love.
She cried again singing “The House That Built Me,” and her fans cried along with her. Whatever was going on with Miranda that got her so upset, it was an emotional night both for her and her audience.
“@mirandalambert made me cry from her crying,” a fan shared on Twitter after the show. “Watching Miranda Lambert cry on stage, and then seeing her fans crying too, is now making ME CRY,” added another.
So what is going on with Miranda Lambert?
If we knew, we’d tell you. The problem is that, as least so far, she’s made no comments about her breakdown. All she told fans on the night of the concert was that she was feeling emotional and hormonal and had cramps, Us Weekly reports, and that doesn’t give us a lot to work with.
Not unless you want to believe those rumors going around that she’s pregnantwith boyfriend Anderson East’s baby, which, although not impossible, is an unlikely scenario.
That Miranda Lambert burst into tears because she wants Blake Shelton back is an option, but after all that had happened between them, we doubt this was what got to her and got her tear ducts running.
Blake and Miranda were together for 9 years, and it almost seemed like their love affair was meant to last, so if you ask us, Miranda just got nostalgic, and that’s why she started crying on stage.
Their divorce wasn’t a pleasant experience either for Miranda or for Blake, so it makes sense that she’s not completely over it.
