We’re still not quite sure how we feel about this story. According to the latest reports, Mexican city officials are in the process of turning Jenni Rivera’s plane crash site into a full-blown tourist attraction!
Iturbide rep Cesar Romeo Carreon spoke to reporters this week about the plan to create a Rivera R.I.P. experience. Guests would go on guided tours and be able to visit the area where her plane went down.
And as controversial as that may be, Carreon assured the press that this is what the fans want.
“What we want is to create a way for fans to get a place to visit,” he said.
But the logistics of creating the “Jenni Tribute” may be easier said than done. The plane crash happened on private land and the government of Nuevo Leon (which oversees Iturbide) has yet to fully sign off on the operation.
