First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes your first duet!
Punk princess Avril Lavigne and husband Chad Kroeger of Nickelback released Let Me Go on Monday, a piano-tinged pop-rock ballad from that will be included on Lavigne’s upcoming self-titled release. “Love’s never too late,” Lavigne belts on the track.
The singer, 29, first married Sum 41’s Deryck Whibley in 2006, but eventually filed for divorce in October 2009. Kroeger, 38, and Lavigne announced their engagement in August 2012 when few people even knew they were dating. They were wed this July.
The pair also appeared Monday at the 2013 Huading Awards Opening Ceremony in Macau, China.
The song will be available on iTunes on Oct. 15 before Lavigne’s album drops Nov. 5.
