The Oscar Gala at Lincoln Center 2017

The Oscar Gala at Lincoln Center 2017 1

Did that just happen?  I am sure that thought was running through many a mind last night.  With all the controversy regarding last night’s 89th Annual Academy Awards snafu, we at ZayZay.Com at least have loads of positivity to share about our Oscar viewing experience.

As many of you may already know, Zay Zay was invited to host Lincoln Center’s Oscar viewing party.  What you don’t know, was all the fun there was to have.

The Film Society of Lincoln Center’s New Wave and Young Patrons of Lincoln Center joined together to put on quite an event.  Let me walk you through, all the fun you missed.

We kicked off the night at 7pm with Patrons arriving at the Elinor Bunin Munroe Film Center and promptly walked their very own luxury red carpet.  Complimentary drinks and hors d’oeuvres were in constant supply during the pre-Oscar bash.  Off to the left, Zay Zay wrangled the guests into talking about their Oscar picks and asking more about the great things the Film Society of Lincoln Center and Young Patrons of Lincoln Center have to offer.

What started out as social gathering for art enthusiasts between the ages 20-40, soon was the most wonderfully diverse gathering of movie lovers of all ages.  Patrons of the Lincoln Center mixed and mingled while discussing who should win and why “so and so” should have been nominated.

Staff handed out movie “ballots” enabling guests to choose the Oscar winners for themselves and a photo booth available for that must have “Oscar” winning pics.

Dinner was served shortly before the Oscar viewing began and Patrons were encouraged to make their way to their cushy seats.

Oscar attendees were not the only ones walking away with awards and prizes.  During the commercial breaks, Zay Zay handed out 12 tiny Oscars for everything from Best Dressed to Best Oscar Spirt.  With Grand Prizes including 2 tickets to “Live with Kelly” and Invitations to the Young Patrons of Lincoln Center’s Masquerade Ball, Patrons had a chance of winning “honors” of their own.

As the night progressed, many an Oscar selfie was taken, drinks and desserts were graciously being served and everyone was awaiting that final award.  Many laughed, many cried, and all left with a gift bag to remember their Lincoln Center Oscar viewing experience.

Jealous? You should be.  The final consensus was “A SUCCESS”.   Don’t miss out on next year’s event.  Visit Film Society of Lincoln Center’s New Wave  and  Young Patrons of Lincoln Center to learn how to be a part of this and many other events at Lincoln Center.

See you there and stay tuned for footage of this amazing event.
