Paula Abdul went from “straight up” to on the ground.
The pop icon suffered a fall off her stage during a performance in Biloxi, Miss., on Saturday but resumed performing quickly after the slip.
The accident took place when Abdul, 56, sauntered toward the front of the stage while singing “The Promise of a New Day” and took a misstep that resulted in her falling right in front of the crowd, video of incident shows.
The “Straight Up” singer seemed to be all right following the fall, a person in attendance told Entertainment Tonight.
“After the fall, (Paula) got back up, never skipped a beat!” the witness told ET. “(Paula) stated, she has been a dancer for years so falls and drops she has gotten used to over the years! Other than the fall her show was absolutely amazing and she went on and finished like a champ!”
The former “American Idol” judge began her new “Straight Up Paula! 2018 Tour” earlier this month, marking her first solo tour in 25 years.
The tour, which runs through March, comes after Abdul performed alongside Boyz II Men and New Kids on the Block for a run of shows last year.
