Who knew Paulina Rubio fancied Cajun grooves? Oh yea, she’ll be making her way to Louisiana next April for the 2012 New Orleans Jazz Fest. A lively mix of musical genres and live entertainment, we are actually glad they’re adding some Latin flair to the lineup.
Other headliners at next year’s event include The Eagles, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, and The Foo Fighters. The concert will last for two days and promises a mix of classic rock, jazz, zydeco, R&B, gospel, blues, and of course Latin pop.
There will actually be over 100 musicians performing throughout the event, all on a variety of stages. Fans attending will have the opportunity to visit various “themed” tents, nibble on authentic N’awlins food, and pick up fun creole trinkets.
Of course, Pau Pau won’t be the only Latin music maker making noise at Jazz Fest. Legendary Hispanic artists like the Texas Tornadoes, Pedrito Martinez, and Poncho Sanchez are also planning to perform.
