This is part of a compensated campaign with Latina Mom Bloggers and P&G However, all opinions expressed are my own.
We at ZayZay.Com take Breast Cancer Awareness very seriously. At the age of 23, Mrs. Zay Zay was lying in bed talking to her friends when she decided to give herself a breast exam (BSE). Imagine her surprise when she noticed several large round lumps. The very next day she was in the doctor’s office getting checked. Although she was lucky enough not to have cancer, the experience stressed the importance of self-examination to her family. Because of this knowledge, her mother who did end up with Breast Cancer was able to detect and treat her cancer early and we are proud to announce she is in remission. Mrs. Zay Zay continues to have her routine mammogram and never stops stressing the importance of early screening. Her mother might not be here today if she had not insisted on getting her routine checkup.
The National Breast Cancer Foundation provides free mammograms for women in need as part of their mission. You can see if they have a partner hospital in your area at here. If there is not a hospital in your area, check with your local hospital. They may have a program in place that can get you the mammogram you need.
ZayZay.com and P&G cannot stress enough the importance of Breast Cancer Awareness. Go to NationalBreastCancer.org to get better informed and don’t forget to pay it forward, because you never know when it might save your loved ones.
