First Jencarlos Canela, now Marc Anthony! It looks like Pitbull’s list of collaborators for his upcoming Planet Pit album is growing by leaps and bounds. And if the Marc duet (entitled “Rain Over Me”) is an indicator of what type of music Planet’s got in store, Mr. 305 may have a major hit on his hands.
Featuring Anthony’s distinctive vocals on the chorus, Pit’s “Rain Over Me” is an upbeat dance track that is sure to make the pool party playlist this summer. There are thumping beats, fast-paced lyrical raps, and synthesized dance grooves with plenty of Latin flava.
In recent months, it’s clear that Pitbull and the Anthony family have become pretty tight. “The Mrs.” famously collaborated with Pit for her smash “On The Floor,” so it only makes sense for Marc to return the favor and add his distinct vocals to “Rain.”
And we’re sure “Rain Over Me” is just the tip of the Planet Pit iceberg. Boasting a list of collaborators that includes Jamie Foxx, T-Pain, and producer RedOne, the new album is expected to dominate the Billboard charts when it drops on June 21
