About Popeye Buena Vida:
Popeye Buena Vida (Bariel Rosario Ureña) was born January 26, 1986 in Santo Domingo (Distrito Nacional), Dominican Republic. Popeye Buena Vida is an artist who fuses urban with tropical music who from an early age developed a charm for music through singing in his local church which lead him to develop his talent as a composer and singer.
In 2001, he made his first recordings with music producer Joy Garcia (son of Pedrín Garcia, one of the top arrangers of merengue hits of the 80s) who guides Popeye Buena Vida in his early career as an interpreter of urban music.
In 2007 he recorded his first commercially released song as a featured artist with the urban artists Skeem & Halo created by the prominent producer, JMX. Then in 2014 he joins Nico Clinico to collaborate in the production of ” En La Mañana “, part of the album “Nico Clinico presents K & C VOL. 2”.
At beginning of the 2015 he launches his first solo single and video “Lo Quiero Now” produced by Jual Sohot, Xnike and Bassbreaker, a critically successful single that forms part of his first album entitled “Plato De Entrada” which offered a new proposal for a variety of urban music fused with tropical beats that becomes the signature stamp for Popeye Buena Vida.
Today, after a great acceptance from the public, the artist and his team embark under a new vision through a new company called Mision Musical Records, which is working to release his new album (whose first single is “Lloviendo”) which is expected to be released in early 2018 and promises to bring urban music to levels never reached.
