Anne Hathaway is gearing up to wear her tiara again – at least, once she’s had a baby.
According to Princess Diaries director Garry Marshall, the pregnant actress is planning to do a third film in the romantic comedy series.
He told People: “I was with Anne Hathaway a couple weeks ago, it looks like we want to do Princess Diaries 3 in Manhattan.
“Anne Hathaway is very pregnant, so we have to wait until she has the baby and then I think we’re going to do it.”
Hathaway and husband Adam Shulman are expecting their first child very soon, after the couple announced their happy news last November.
The Oscar-winning star of course made her movie debut in the original Princess Diaries in 2001, alongside Julie Andrews, before starring in the sequel in 2004.
However, Marshall added that it could be tricky to bring back Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement actor Chris Pine.
“Maybe,” the director said. “He’s quite big now, you know. Chris Pine likes me, you know why? Because his father [Robert Pine] is in Mother’s Day.”
