Rebel Wilson has denied rumours she is playing Adele in a new biopic, after the singer made it very clear that she wasn’t happy with the idea.
Yesterday, Wilson refuted speculation on Twitter about the casting.
I have never been offered to play Adele in a biopic…completely made up tabloid story with fictitious unnamed source! Love Adele though X

The report first appeared in The Daily Star, claiming Wilson wanted the part to “transform her into a major movie star”.
But Adele said on stage at the o2 that she didn’t approve of the idea.
“I’ve heard there are rumours about Rebel Wilson will be playing me in a movie – let’s see if that turns out to be true,” said Adele. “They need my fucking permission. Just because I’m plus-sized doesn’t mean she’s playing me.”
