Reese Witherspoon revealed that she would like to film a third installment of “Legally Blonde.”
During a recent appearance of “Fashionably Late with Rachel Zoe,” the 39-year-old actress was asked her thoughts on “Legally Blonde 3,” and she is definitely up for it.
“I think we’re ready to see Elle and see what she’s up to lately,” Witherspoon replied.
“A lot of writers over the years have come up with different ideas for it,” she continued. “I actually think it’s kind of great right now because we’re talking about women in politics and how important that is to get more women. And I think it’d be kind of a cool thing to have her be a Supreme Court justice or someone who runs for office.”
The first “Legally Blonde” was released in 2001. Witherspoon played Elle Woods, a blonde sorority queen who ends up enrolling in Harvard Law School and surprises everyone with her legal prowess. The sequel “Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blonde” came out two years later and a Broadway musical debuted in 2007.
