Ryan Reynolds Gets His Wish For DEAPOOL To Be An R Rated Superhero Movie

Ryan Reynolds channeled his inner Wade Wilson aka Deadpool in new image for the movie, due in February 2016. Deadpool has also been rated Hard R, for extreme graphics.

1324643076923675310Empire Online has posted a new picture from the upcoming Deadpool movie. Negasonic Teenage Warhead, played by Brianna Hildebrand, joins Ryan Reynolds in the upcoming film.

Ryan Reynolds also shared that he wants to kiss the person who released the 2011 test footage. “And not just a little kiss, but full on the mouth, sloppy, with tongue, for two straight minutes on live television, without commercial interruption. And then I’ll buy you dinner at Red Lobster, at least, and dessert.”

Yes, I’d like that very much. Coming back.

Reynolds is also not a stranger to the superhero world, himself being in X-Men Origins: Wolverine back in 2009, and also starring as Green Lantern in the not-so-well-received 2011 movie (where he also met his wife, Blake Lively).

But this time, the movie will surely pass the typical PG-13 rate.

Deadpool is a hard R,” assures producer Simon Kinberg (X-Men: Days of Future Past). “It’s graphic. Nothing is taboo. You either commit to a truly outrageous boundary-pushing kind of movie or you don’t.”

First time director Tim Miller also talked about it, and said: “I felt Fight Club and Tyler Durden were good corollaries,” he says. “We are in strip clubs and dive bars and crappy apartments and far away from the shiny X-Men world.”

The movie is due in February 4th, 2016!
