2012 is certainly shaping up to be the year of Selena Quintanilla. The late Tejano star is getting a star-studded tribute album in a few months and now her widower, Chris Perez, is writing a tell-all book titled Para Selena, Con Amor.
Selena first met Chris back in 1988, when she was just 17-years-old. They married in 1992, three years before she was tragically shot and killed. With a seven-year-long love affair between them, it’s clear Perez knows plenty of “intimate” details about Quintanilla and her family.
Chris has actually been tight-lipped about their relationship since his wife’s death, continuing with his own musical career. As of right now, he plays with Selena’s brother A.B. and seems to have kept things civil with the rest of his in-laws.
Will that change with the publication of his new book? We’re still not sure how “revealing” Perez will get, but one thing’s for sure; die-hard Selena fans will be flocking to read it.
