Earning two nominations at Premios Juventud is the innovative group Voz de Mando for Regional Mexican Song of the Year (“Y Ahora Resulta”) and Regional Mexican Album of the Year, for their self-titled album.
Regional Mexican Album of the Year is a key category, because all five nominated albums are credited to SESAC Latina-affiliated artists, or feature songs written by them. The nominees are: En Peligro De Extinción (In Danger of Extinction) by Intocable; Mi Razón De Ser (My Reason for Living) by Banda Sinaloense MS de Sergio Lizárraga; Y Ahora Resulta (And Now It Turns Out), by Voz de Mando; La Estructura (The Structure), by Noel Torres; and Tu Amigo Nada Más (Just Your Friend), by Julión Álvarez.
