There is no denying that Shakira has some very big shoes to fill this year on The Voice. And Christina Aguilera’s Colombian replacement is off to a memorable start, showing off some feisty moments in a season four preview clip.
“Shakira’s so sweet and beautiful,” fellow judge Blake Shelton said in the promo. “And then the claws come out!”
Indeed, Shaki is seen calling Adam Levine and Blake tone deaf, mocking Usher for his wardrobe and zeroing in on some unimpressive contestants. She’s even adding a little Español to confuse her fellow judges.
But fans will certainly get to see Shakira’s sweet side too. As she told Voice fans in the promo, “I’m here to be a mentor for people who had dreams just like I had.”
Look for Shaki’s big Voice debut later this month.
