Shia LaBeouf has reportedly checked into a Los Angeles rehab following his arrest in New York last week.
The 28-year-old actor is allegedly seeking treatment after his erratic behaviour in recent months has sparked concerns over his mental health.
A photographer from X17.com said: “Shia was nervous; he didn’t look good all morning. He was looking down and wasn’t even talking to his driver. It looked like he didn’t want to do it [rehab], but he knew he had to.”
The news that the Transformers star is seeking professional help comes just days after he was arrested during a Broadway performance of Cabaret in New York last Thursday.
LaBeouf was charged with harassment, disorderly conduct and criminal trespassing after he began yelling offensive language at security guards and slapping people’s bottoms midway through the show at Studio 54.
It is also believed he struck up a cigarette in the theatre and then shouted obscenities at police officers as they tried to handcuff him.
The troubled star is expected to appear in court in relation to the charges on July 24.
