Los Angeles, CA (April 22, 2020) – LatinX bilingual songstress, multi-instrumentalist, producer and fashion designer Tatiana Hazel, releases visuals to her latest single “Don’t Care” from forthcoming EP via Downtown Records. The well-received single she produced, engineered, mixed and mastered, amassed over 100k streams the week of its release, got added to major playlists across all digital streaming platforms, and was picked up my major media outlets such as Lyrical Lemonade, Remezcla and People en Español to name a few.
The fashion focused short film serves as a lookbook showcasing her designs as every piece she wears in the video was created by Tatiana. The young fashion designer spoke about the visuals with Flaunt Magazine who premiered it yesterday and stated, “The two scenes in the video where I break away from the backgrounds that match my clothing represent breaking away from my past and exploring something new. These scenes were inspired by the set design in one of my favorite films ‘Nowhere’ by Gregg Araki.”
Directed by Rae and shot on VHS, the video was inspired by the 80s to reflect Tatiana’s production which is also inspired by this era. The video was filmed at various abandoned locations across the Southern California desert.
In addition, Tatiana was chosen to perform at this year’s Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival which will launch its 2020 virtual edition LALIFF Connect on May 5th. Founded by Academy Award®-nominated actor Edward James Olmos, the LALIFF Connect Retrospective will include feature films, short films, episodics, masterclasses and musical performances available through LALIFF’s website for free.
