Launched in 2001 with the backing of the PPR Group (now Kering), Stella McCartney has made a name for herself in the fashion world with her extremely successful eponymous label, famous for its ethical and ecological credentials. As if this wasn’t enough, the designer is supposedly creating a menswear label, due to be presented in June at Menswear Week. A shrewd business decision fashion houses are opening more and more menswear stores to meet an expanding menswear market that has seen exceptional growth in the last few years.
What should we expect from the Stella McCartney men’s line? A clothing range that is ecological and ethically-sourced (the designer has even banned leather from her collection), as well as an on-trend menswear look that is just as desirable as her ready-to-wear collections.
