Street Artist Jonas Never Shows Love To Ronda Rousey With Magnificent Mural In Her Hometown

Ronda Rousey was already towering over her mixed martial arts competition. Now she looms over a Los Angeles intersection, as the subject of a 20-foot-tall mural in her home town of Venice, Calif.

The undefeated UFC champion expressed her gratitude Monday for the creation by artist Jonas Never, posting a photo of it on Instagram, with this caption:

“Thank you @never1959 for the beautiful Venice mural!!! Growing up in Venice gives you a real appreciation for street art, and this is the biggest possible compliment from one local to another #Iheartstreetart”

“Ronda Rousey, she went to my high school … she lives in Venice now, and she’s about as big as an athlete is in the world these days,” Never told The Post Game. “This was one of the more powerful photos of her that I found of her, where it was a nice mix of her being beautiful and being a fighter.”

Here is video of Never’s comments:

For her part, Rousey is gearing up for a match against Holly Holm, set to take place Nov. 14 at UFC 193. The MMA company is hoping to break its attendance record by drawing a crowd of 60,000 to see the fight in Australia, which would only add to Rousey’s growing legend.
