Taylor Swift Teams With GoFundMe To Get Struggling Fan $50k To Help Fight Cancer

Taylor Swift loves helping out her fans, showering them with surprise holiday presents, assisting with pregnancy announcements, and making generous monetary donations. But Swift outdid herself recently when she gave $50,000 to a young fan in Arizona battling leukemia.

Upon learning she wouldn’t be able to make it to the Phoenix stop of Swift’s 1989 tour next month due to her intensive leukemia treatment, an 11-year-old girl named Naomi posted a YouTube video in hopes of connecting with the pop star.

Swift’s response: a personal note and a $50,000 donation on the GoFundMe page Naomi’s family set up to support her medical treatment. “To the beautiful and brave Naomi, I’m sorry you have to miss it, but there will always be more concerts,” Swift wrote. “Let’s focus on getting you feeling better. I’m sending the biggest hugs to you and your family.”

Naomi’s uncle shared a video on YouTube of his niece’s adorable reaction, which features the youngster hyperventilating while reading Swift’s message. “I seriously think I’m going to pass out right now,” Naomi says.

The “Bad Blood” singer helped Naomi’s family surpass their fundraising goal.
