MIAMI – December 2018 – Telemundo announced its new Super Series™ “El Baron,” premiering Tuesday, January 29 at 10pm/9C. Filmed in Colombia and set in the 1970s, “El Baron” tells the story of Ignacio “Nacho” Montero, a rebellious young dreamer from Mexico who revolutionizes the world of drug trafficking.
Francisco Angelini and Maria Elisa Camargo head a stellar cast that includes Jorge Luis Moreno, Variel Sánchez, Mauricio Mejía, Gabriel Tarantini, Tania Valencia, Lorena García, Julián Díaz, Kornel Doman, Andres Echevarría, Juana Arboleda and Pedro Suárez, with the special participation of Julio Bracho, Juan Pablo Llano and Carolina Gómez.

In “El Baron” “Nacho” begins by smuggling cigarettes, then marijuana, and eventually, thanks to his charisma and intelligence, he partners with druglord Pablo Escobar to create the world’s most important narcotics distribution route. Featuring iconic 70s sets, fashion and music, the new Super Series™ captures the essence of the era and gives the audience a lighter and more intimate experience.
Also joining the cast are Natasha Klaus, Carlos Camacho, Kristina Lilley, Michelle Rouillard and Juan Calero, among others.
