Dynamic Duo Shoot Up The Itunes Charts In Mexico And The U.S.
Thalía and Mexican American singing/rapping sensation Becky G have teamed up on the music video for “Como Tú No Hay Dos,” the latest single off the Mexican pop icon’s album, Amore Mio
Upon its release on March 19, the celebratory music video for the duo’s cross-generational dance anthem shot straight to No. 1 on the iTunes Latin charts in both Mexico and the United States, proving that these two are a winning combination with audiences everywhere.
Before their riveting performance at Univision’s Premio Lo Nuestro last month, Thalía and Becky G got together to shoot the “Como Tú No Hay Dos” music video in an old New York City warehouse, recreating a club atmosphere that celebrates female empowerment. The result is a fun-filled party beaming with neon lights, killer fashion and sinuous dance moves. The music video was directed by Hanna Lux Davis.
Says Becky G of the experience: “Thalía is so inspiring to not only Latinas but to all women. She is not only a hard worker but also a great person to have around. Her energy is contagious and so free. She brings smiles wherever she goes. Filming the music video was a blast!”
Like many Latinas of her generation, 18-year-old Becky G from Inglewood, California grew up watching Thalía in telenovelas, singing along to her hits, and admiring her entrepreneurial work ethic. This particular duet, says Becky G, holds a special place in her heart: “Thalía is such an icon. To have had the privilege to work with her and learn from her was something I’ll carry with me forever.”
No doubt Becky G and Thalía share a special connection that transcends music.
