WARNER BROS. PICTURES DARES AUDIENCES TO GET UP CLOSE TO
NEW LINE CINEMA’S SUPERNATURAL THRILLER “THE CONJURING 2” FROM DIRECTOR JAMES WAN
Fans will get a virtual “insider’s” view of the real-life house and sit in the very chair where old Bill Wilkins died…and where his possessed spirit remains.
To celebrate the nationwide release of New Line Cinema’s “The Conjuring 2,” the terrifying sequel to director James Wan’s chilling box office success “The Conjuring,” Warner Bros. Pictures is daring movie fans in select cities across the U.S. to “enter” the Hodgson house and experience the haunting for themselves.
Fans in Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, El Paso and Albuquerque will be treated to an advance screening of “The Conjuring 2,” ahead of the film’s June 10 nationwide release. Those who attend the screenings will be challenged to experience one of the eeriest moments from the film by sitting in Bill Wilkins’ chair, the very chair where Bill died, and from which his demonically possessed spirit continues to haunt the living. In addition, attendees will be transported directly into the Hodgson house via a 360° Virtual Reality experience that will test their belief in the supernatural…and their nerve.
The events are open to the public. Seating is limited and will be on a first come first served basis.
The SAN ANTONIO, DALLAS, and El PASO experience will be open to the public
between 4:00pm-10:00pm.
In San Antonio, the local showing of “The Conjuring 2” will take place on Thursday, June 2, 2016 at 7:30pm at the Santikos Palladium IMAX (17703 W IH-10 San Antonio, TX 78257).
In Dallas, the local showing of “The Conjuring 2” will take place on Monday, June 6, 2016 at 7:30pm at the AMC Northpark 15 w/ IMAX and ETX (8687 N Central Expy #3000 Dallas, TX 75225).
In El Paso, the local showing of “The Conjuring 2” will take place on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at 7:30pm at the El Paso Premiere 18 (6101 Gateway Blvd W #15 El Paso, TX 79925)
The AUSTIN experience will be open to the public between 4:00pm-midnight
In Austin, the local showing of “The Conjuring 2” will take place on Friday, June 3, 2016 at 9:30pm at the Alamo Drafthouse (South Lamar 1120 S Lamar Blvd Austin, TX 78704) ———– Taking advantage of the X-Games being in town will be hosted by pro-skater Manny Santiago and attended by other extreme athletes.
The ALBURQUERQUE experience will be open to the public between 4:00pm-9:00pm
In Albuquerque, fans can “enter” the Hodgson house on Friday June 10 and Saturday June 11 at the Cinemark Rio 24 (4901 Pan American Fwy NE Albuquerque, NM 87109).

New Line Cinema’s supernatural thriller “The Conjuring 2,” with James Wan once again at the helm following the record-breaking success of “The Conjuring,” brings to the screen another real case from the files of renowned demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren. Reprising their roles, Oscar nominee Vera Farmiga (“Up In the Air”) and Patrick Wilson star as Lorraine and Ed Warren, who, in one of their most terrifying paranormal investigations, travel to north London to help a single mother raising four children alone in a house plagued by malicious spirits.
