We knew it was only a matter of time before tabloid writers began cashing in on the legacy of Jenni Rivera. Less than three months after her untimely death, two different publishers have announced that they’re printing unauthorized biographies of La Diva de la Banda.
The first book will be entirely in Spanish and written by Colombian journalist Leila Cobo. Clearly on the Amazon fast track, the libro is expected to be edited and available for purchase by February 27.
Book #2 will come in both English and Spanish versions and feature contributions from several authors. 65,000 copies have already been printed and it should also hit bookstores within the next 30 days.
Though the Rivera family hasn’t released a statement on the bios, sources claim that none of them were interviewed for the books. That tells us that these Jenni “tell-alls” will have very little to say.
If you really want to learn more about La Diva, buy one of her albums and listen to the lyrics.
