Universal Standard Launches Its First Activewear Line for Curvy Women

The term “industry disrupter” gets thrown around a lot, but when it comes to Universal Standard, the cool e-tailer catering to sizes 10 through 28, there’s really no better way to put it. Today — just weeks after unveiling its (really successful!) loungewear collection — the brand introduces Game, its first-ever activewear line.

The five-piece collection, ranging in price from $45 to $85, uses fabrications made exclusively by Universal Standard to be sweat-wicking, antimicrobial, and high-performance for all different types of workouts.

Styles include the Power Move Tee ($65) and the Front Runner Tank ($45), plus the full-on Naked Armor Bodysuit ($85), which features adjustable straps and a higher neckline for secure coverage. You’ll also find two different leggings options: the Pace Setter 34 Legging ($65), constructed with extra compression for those high-intensity workouts, and the All-Star High Waisted Legging ($75), made with extra elastic in the top panel and an interior front pocket large enough to hold a phone and keys.

“Game consciously paired our expertise in fit and design with the latest technology to bring well-made, well-fitting activewear to the market,” says Alex Waldman, Universal Standard co-founder and chief compliance officer, in a press release. “This consumer has been deprived of quality clothing across all categories, but activewear is a particularly important area from which she is often dismissed completely.”

While some pieces are currently only available for pre-order (shipping February 16th), we advise you get your orders in now. If we’ve learned anything from Universal Standard’s most recent drops, it’s that things sell out quickly.
