Vin Diesel ignited fast & furious speculation from fanboys after the action star dropped a major hint about the identity of the super hero he’s in talks with Marvel Studios to portray.
“Marvel meeting today…,” the 45-year-old actor posted on his Facebook page Tuesday with a poster of a 1963 cover of “The Avengers” in the background.
“Only the people in the room can tell you what was discussed…
“P.s. Thanks to Our page, for pushing to make it happen… you know I get tunnel vision with my work… and after that meeting today… wow!”
The last sentence in the post has led to rampant speculaion that Diesel is in talks to play the android super hero , Vision, in director Joss Whedon’s “Avengers 2,” the sequel to last year’s blockbuster.
Whedon has already disclosed that he’s including the Scarlet Witch in the movie, a heroine that ultimately married Vision in the comic books.
It’s also possible that the photo, which clearly shows another popular Avenger, Giant Man — who in the background is the real clue.
Other conspiracy theories abounded when Diesel leaked in a previous email that he would be meeting with the studio, including the gravel-throated “Riddick” star woul d voice an all-CGI living tree named Groot in next year’s “Guardians of the Galaxy.”
