“Weird Al” Yankovic has announced a 2019 North American tour. The “Strings Attached” tour will feature a full symphony orchestra at every stop. “We’re going directly from my most scaled-down, low-key show ever… to my most full-blown, over-the-top extravaganza ever,” he wrote on Instagram, referring to this year’s “Ridiculously Self-Indulgent, Ill-Advised Vanity Tour,” during which he played mostly original material as opposed to his famous parodies.
Yankovic will announce the “Strings Attached” dates on Monday, November 12; tickets go on sale a few days later—Friday, November 16 at 11 a.m. Eastern. Find his Instagram post below.
“Weird Al” Yankovic recently made all the shows on his “Ridiculously Self-Indulgent, Ill-Advised Vanity Tour” available to stream. He also compiled 77 cover songs he performed on tour into a single video.
Two weeks from today (Monday, Nov. 12) we’ll be announcing the dates for my 2019 Strings Attached tour… where every night my band will be accompanied by a FULL SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA! Tickets go on sale Nov. 16. More info here: https://t.co/HYlhcCxZPH pic.twitter.com/99NGQpOe10
