Whether it’s a hurricane or a new housemate, it seems adversity keeps finding a young cat named Vinny.
The gray kitty made headlines in July when he was thrown from a moving car on New York City’s Verrazano Bridge. He was rescued, and later adopted by Whoopi Goldberg, who met him when he paid a visit to The View later that month.
Since the bridge incident, Vinny has gone through another scare thanks to Hurricane Irene, which swept across the Eastern seaboard in August. Goldberg explained to her View cohosts Tuesday that even though she and Vinny were taking shelter in the basement, Vinny wasn’t comfortable about the coming storm.
“I don’t know what it is, but something’s bad!” she said in her re-enactment of Vinny’s behavior. “Something’s bad!”
Besides the hurricane, Vinny has also had to deal with drama from Goldberg’s other cat, Oliver.
“Oliver’s not having it. He is not digging it, man!” Goldberg said. “I’ve had a conversation with the two of them together and I feel that they don’t respect each other’s space the way they should. I really feel that Oliver needs to learn that sharing is the way to go.”
