Will and Leah performed the track during the final of the UK TV talent competition earlier this year and promised fans at the time that he would ensure he recorded a version with the Northern Irish singer ‘soon’.
The new duet has now been released on the latest Now! That’s What I Call Music compilation – number 86 in the long running series.
Although not credited on the album itself, Leah’s involvement was confirmed on Tuesday by the official Now! twitter page and the 25-year-old also took to the social network to promote it.
“Yip. Bang Bang – the version with me and @iamwill has been released on the Now86 album!! yay!!” she tweeted.
The new song is not the Voice runner-up’s first taste of chart success, however, with her stripped-down cover of I Will Survive having reached number 8 in the download charts the week after she performed it on the show.
Her debut album is also well underway, with the extravagant American as producer.
Will-i-am said recently: “I’m producing and writing it. It’s the same way I produce a Black Eyed Peas or Fergie album, it’s getting that level of attention to detail.
“I’m working as hard on it as I have done on all the other projects I’m most passionate about. I haven’t done that before with someone I’ve just met.”
