There is no doubt that Wilmer Valderrama reads a ton of scripts each week. The 32-year-old star is now a regular on the NBC drama Awake and voices the Handy Manny cartoon. But did you know that he gets all of his lines digitally? As he told The Mother Nature Network, it’s all part of “keeping it green.”
“I don’t print out [scripts] anymore,” he went on to say. “It saves a lot of trees and money on paper. I get scripts by e-mail and read them on my iPad.”
Wilmer actually has quite a history with environmentalism. Last November, he participated in TeenNick’s Halo Awards, which recognizes ecological strides made by young people. And don’t be surprised if you see him popping up for Earth Day activities this April.
But in the meantime, Valderrama’s keeping busy with a full plate of TV projects. His role in Awake is generating a ton of buzz and he’ll be reuniting with his 70’s Show castmate Laura Prepon for a special episode of Are You There Chelsea? this week.
