Young Jeezy Arrested Following Fatal Concert Shooting; Pleads Not Guilty

Young Jeezy pleaded not guilty to illegal gun charges stemming from an Augusr 24th incident where police found an AK-47 aboard Jeezy’s tour bus following a Wiz Khalifa concert in Mountain View, California. Jeezy and five members of his entourage were arrested and charged with illegal gun possession; all the men entered not guilty pleas, the San Jose Mercury News reports. A pretrial hearing has been scheduled for September 5th.

Jeezy’s tour bus was searched after a 38-year-old man was shot to death backstage at the Shoreline Amphitheatre. A search warrant was issued for Jeezy’s tour bus, where the weapon was discovered. Additionally, two members of Jeezy’s entourage, Peter Arthur Maynard and Kena Jermaine Marshall, were also hit with felony counts of being felons in possession of a separate firearm and for felons in possession of ammunition. All six men were hit with $1 million bail, which All Hip Hop reports has still not been paid, so Jeezy remains behind bars.

It is still unclear whether investigators have made any connection to the AK-47 found on Jeezy’s tour bus and the shooting itself, but for now, Jeezy and his five members of his entourage have just been charged with gun possession. The police previously said the rapper and his entourage was being “cooperative” with the murder investigation. According to witnesses, the shooter used a black handgun with a large clip.

While Jeezy remains jailed, his Twitter account is still actively promoting the rapper’s upcoming album Seen It All: The Autobiography, which arrives on September 2nd.
