The wait is finally over, and our favorite paz-loving superhero is back with more locura than ever! The new teaser for Peacemaker Season 2 just dropped, and hermano, it’s looking absolutely incredible with John Cena returning as the over-the-top vigilante we can’t help but love.
A Family Vendetta Brings Major Drama
Things are getting muy caliente in this new season as Frank Grillo steps in as Rick Flag Sr., and let’s just say he’s not too happy about what went down with his hijo in The Suicide Squad. The tension is real, amigos, as we see Flag Sr. hunting down Peacemaker and his crew with some serious venganza on his mind. The action sequences look absolutely insane, with explosions, hand-to-hand combat, and enough drama to keep us on the edge of our seats for all eight episodes dropping weekly starting August 21, 2025.
New Faces Join La Familia
The DC Universe is expanding in some exciting ways, bringing fresh sangre to the mix. We’ve got Sean Gunn stepping in as Maxwell Lord, the amazing Isabela Merced taking on Hawkgirl, and Nathan Fillion bringing his charm as Guy Gardner. Our regular squad is back too – Danielle Brooks, Freddie Stroma, Jennifer Holland, and Steve Agee are all returning to keep the familia together through whatever craziness comes their way.

This could be James Gunn’s clever way of connecting the show to his new DC Universe while keeping what we loved about the first season.

Despite all the action and explosions, what makes Peacemaker especial is its heart. The show continues to explore Christopher Smith’s journey as he tries to find his place in the world while dealing with his past demons. The teaser hints at some emotional moments between our favorite characters, showing that beneath all the chaos, there’s still plenty of soul to go around.
