Chiquis Postpones Diamantes Tour Due
Some heartbreaking news shook our dear Mexican songstress, Chiquis, causing her to postpone her sparkly Diamantes Tour spectacle. A medical issue, personal and painful, cut through her preparations for a sure-to-be unforgettable concert on June 1. What event, you ask? The brave Chiquis shared in an emotional Instagram reveal that she suffered a miscarriage.
Our hearts ache for our much-loved Chiquis. She was prepping backstage for an amazing night in Albuquerque, New Mexico, at the impactful Revel Entertainment Center, when the unexpected occurred. This day would have marked the second beat of her Diamantes Tour, following its grandiose kickoff in El Cajon, California on May 30.
Penning an heartfelt note, the powerhouse revealed, “Mi gente de Albuquerque – con el corazón pesado, I felt the need to let you know that I had to postpone the concert due to a medical emergency that made it physically and emotionally imposible para mí to step on stage.” It was indeed a blow!
“En el proceso de preparing for the show,” she continued, “I suffered un aborto. I hadn’t announced el embarazo, as it was very early on,” shared the singer. Always with the fans at heart, she added, “I’m sorry for any inconvenience caused. Prometo make it up to you pronto and your tickets will be honored. Gracias por su understanding. My doc assures that I can pick up the tour for its next stops in Texas, June 7th, 8th and 9th.”
The Latin Grammy-winning artist, famous for her best banda albums Playlist (2020) and Abeja Reina (2022), anticipates the tour as “una celebración de empowerment, self-expression, and unity.” She’s eager to create an environment where fans can unite, connect, and bask in the pure joy of live music. Texas will mark her return, with concerts all set in Hidalgo, Houston, and Irving. Chiquis is lined up to set the stage ablaze throughout summer, take a fall break, and wrap the Diamantes Tour by early December.
