¿Haben Sie heard, mis amigos? (Yeah, that's right. We're throwing a little Alemán into our Spanglish soup because news this big deserves all the languages). Our very own Bridge Theatre Company alumnus, Jonathan Bailey, is catching the next flight to Isla Nublar. Ese's right! Bailey has his sights set on the lead role in Universal and Ambllin's latest installment of the colossal ‘Jurassic World' franchise. ¡Eso suena a puro éxito!

De Londres al Jurassic World

Bailey, best known for his role as the charmingly flamboyant Anthony Bridgerton in Netflix's ‘Bridgerton', hasn't always been a thorn in the side of British high society. He's been treading the boards, from London's West End to Broadway, for nearly as long as he can remember – and now, looks set to tread over some dinosaur bones. Now eso, es a big jump, friends!

But no need to worry, familia. Our boy Bailey wouldn't be heading into el mundo de Jurassic without a seasoned team at his back. Con titanes de Hollywood like the renowned director Colin Trevorrow, who captained the first ‘Jurassic World' installment, and la guionista Emily Carmichael, known for her skills on ‘Pacific Rim: Uprising', Bailey's in good hands. T-Rex, Raptors, and…Bridgertons

This is a grand leap for Jonathan Bailey, and un paso gigantesco for our representation in Hollywood. Don't get me wrong, we love to see Bailey dazzling the English ladies on ‘Bridgerton', but seeing him outrun velociraptors, that's a whole other nivel. So to Jonathan Bailey, we say, “¡echale ganas!”

But, as always, remember: Hollywood, we're keeping a close eye on you. We're excited for Bailey, pero también, we're expecting great things. We want to see our Latinx actors, directors, and creators given the opportunities they deserve. We can't wait to see más caras Latinas y más cultura Latina on the big screen.
